Ranjit Singh

Ranjit is a professor of political science and international affairs at the University of Mary Washington. He lives in Stafford County.

His political development-related work takes him to countries across Asia and Africa, but Ranjit grew up playing in Stafford’s fields and creeks, including the Crow’s Nest peninsula near his family’s farm. He remains an avid hiker, kayaker, and angler.

Concern for diminishing local nature set him on the path to conservation and joining the NVCT. A father of two, he hopes his work with the Trust will help to ensure extensive natural areas for the next generation’s enjoyment.
