About the Role
The Community Engagement Intern will focus on outreach and events, working closely with the Partnerships Coordinator. This intern will be responsible for creating and executing an event that furthers our organization’s community engagement and diversity goals. Other responsibilities may include attending community meetings as an NVCT representative, working on communications, and conducting outreach to local organizations about partnerships.
Requirements
Background and interest in community engagement work
Familiarity with Northern Virginia communities
Enthusiasm for promoting inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility
Experience or confidence in planning and putting on small events
Strong communication skills
A self-starter attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to develop a project independently after being given a framework
