Ananya Sinha

Ananya is a rising sophomore at Davidson College, where she studies environmental social sciences and mathematics. She is passionate about addressing the challenges faced by marginalized communities and advocating for a more sustainable and equitable future.

Born and raised in Arlington, Virginia, Ananya has a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of Northern Virginia. Her childhood adventures through places like Great Falls Park and Four Mile Run helped spark her interest in conservation and environmental advocacy.

As a Communications and Community Engagement Intern, Ananya helps amplify NVCT’s mission by managing social media content, conducting outreach research, and supporting the planning and promotion of events. She is especially excited to learn how to engage diverse audiences in the climate conversation and explore the strategies that make this work meaningful and effective.

Before joining NVCT, Ananya was involved in several local environmental organizations, including Arlington Students for Climate Action and EcoAction Arlington. She also served as an operations intern with CQuest Capital, a carbon finance firm focused on high-impact climate projects in developing countries.

This internship has been a meaningful way for Ananya to give back to the region she calls home, while gaining hands-on experience in environmental communications and community engagement.
