Dr. Mary Thomas

Bio

Mary Thomas is of the Shuswap nation in British Columbia and as a conservationist and ethnobotanist, has devoted much of her work to outreach and advocacy. She has spent her life teaching the importance of land stewardship and the protection of tribal lands. She is responsible for founding the Salmon River Watershed Restoration Project that helps in habitat restoration and land conservation.
