Heart of the Potomac Campaign

Home

From the rocky bluffs of the Potomac gorges to the mature hardwood forests and wetlands of Crow's Nest, the Potomac River runs, connecting all of Northern Virginia and its people.

Our diverse landscape provides for a number of different species, as well as providing clean drinking water and a respite from the urban world. These lands carry history among them, carrying on the legacies on the Indigenous tribes who have stewarded them for centuries.

However, as Northern Virginia continues to grow as beacon of business, development threatens to take away the land we hold dear. As the steward of Northern Virginia, NCVT has launched a campaign to protect these lands.
