Crow's Nest Natural Area Preserve

In Stafford County, less than an hour from the Beltway, Crow’s Nest Preserve lies on a peninsula adjacent to the Potomac River, and we have had the honor of helping to expand it significantly. It is one of the most diverse landscapes in our region, with varied topography and is home to bald eagles, great blue herons, and king rails. The preserve features 9 moderate and easy trails through mature hardwood forests and wetlands. These trails are great for hiking, biking, kayaking, and birding!

There are two access points to the Crow's Nest Natural Preserve Trails. The Brooke Road access point allows access to the water trail along with hiking trails along the shoreline and features a 20-car parking lot. It is open Thursday-Sunday. The Raven Road access point provides entry to trails through the hardwood forests and features an 18-car parking lot. It is open 7 days a week.

The preserve is open to the public March 15 – October 31st from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and November 1st – March 14th from 8:00 am – 5:30 pm.
