Northern Virginia Conservation Trust: Saving Nearby Nature
We at NVCT are a regional, nonprofit land trust that saves nearby nature by preserving and caring for natural areas, trails, streams, parks, and historical and cultural sites to benefit current and future generations.
NVCT works with conservation partners, including local governments and private landowners, to preserve, restore and steward land throughout Northern Virginia. Founded in 1994, the trust has protected more than 8,000 acres in its service area, one of the fastest-growing regions in the country and home to more than 2.9 million residents. Every resident has the potential for heroism, and many support NVCT through volunteer work, donations, or by conserving their land.
Who are the heroes that attend NVCT’s Annual Conservation Event?
The typical audience includes more than 250 business leaders, elected officials, jurisdiction partners, conservation leaders, advocates, and other key stakeholders who make a difference daily in our Northern Virginia communities. Our annual event is a celebration of these collective acts of heroism.
