George Melendez Wright

Bio

George Melendez Wright was an American-Salvadoran biologist he is responsible for conceiving and conducting the first scientific survey of fauna for the NPS (National Park Service) from 1929 to 1933. He spent the majority of his career researching wildlife issues and advocating for holistic approaches to managing species in national parks on an ecosystem-wide front.
