Volunteer with Us
Join our volunteer team today and be a part of preserving Northern Virginia’s clean water, land, and character!
Volunteers have always been central to NVCT’s mission of preserving vital green spaces, wildlife habitats, and natural resources for future generations. Volunteering with Northern Virginia Conservation Trust is a fun way to make a positive impact on our local habitats, all while spending time with neighbors and exploring the beauty of the outdoors.

We offer a number of opportunities to get outside and make a difference! Our current volunteer involvement ranges from those who attend field workdays to Board and Advisory Council members. Whether you have just a little bit of time or want to engage with us over a longer period, we have roles available!

Community volunteers provide flexible, as-needed support for individual events throughout the year.
Volunteers will handle tabling and clean-up at events such as:
Community Volunteer
Kayak Cleanups
Saturdays in the Garden at the Terborgh Terrace Garden (TTG)
Tank Creek Workdays
