Join local naturalists Sevim Kalyoncu and Mark Khosravi as well as our good friends from the Clifton Betterment Association on a short, informative hike along the flood plain trail.
About the leaders:
is an environmental educator with a passion for helping children and families learn about and connect with nature. She privately leads educational nature hikes, teaches outdoor classes incorporating survival skills, and runs women’s camping retreats. She currently teaches nature classes for private schools and homeschool groups and previously led Meaningful Watershed Education Experiences (MWEEs) with Fairfax County Park Authority. In addition to teaching, she serves as the executive director of , a nonprofit organization aimed at guiding American Muslims towards environmental stewardship.Sevim KalyoncuGreen Muslims
is a 25+ year veteran science teacher for Fairfax County, teaching AP Environmental Science, Biology and Geosystems. Mark does have reptiles in his classroom and co-hosts a herpetology club for his students. In addition…
