Our Nearby Nature Bioblitz

is coming Saturday, October 15th!

Our Nearby Nature BioBlitz is back, and this year it will take place on an NVCT-conserved property.

On Saturday, October 15th, we invite you to an in-person BioBlitz at the Clifton Floodplain Park in downtown Clifton, VA, from 2-4 pm. In this exciting community science event, help photograph and identify important plant species at the park using the iNaturalist app. With iNaturalist, you can record observations, share with fellow naturalists, and discuss your findings, so bring your curiosity and a camera!

Join iNaturalist to Participate

We will again be using iNaturalist to conduct NVCT’s Nearby Nature BioBlitz. With the fun, easy-to-use app and website, iNaturalist enables people to capture and share information that helps us learn more about nature.

The free iNaturalist platform is a website and app used to record plant and animal observations in nature with photographs. You can share your observations and add to a global collection of biodiversity information used for science and conservation.

Download the app on Google Play or the Apple App Store to participate.

What is a BioBlitz
