Rentz Hilyer

Land Conservation Specialist

Rentz is responsible for conserving land and building government and nonprofit partnerships in Prince William and Stafford counties, as well as the cities of Alexandria and Frederickburg. Rentz obtained a B.S. in geography from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He worked as a project manager with a design-build firm in Northern Virginia before earning a Master of Natural Resources degree from Virginia Tech in 2013. Rentz is passionate about local conservation issues. He’s active with the Virginia Master Naturalist program and enjoys birding. Rentz lives in Alexandria.
