Shruti Kuppa is a lifelong Northern Virginian and has served on the Arlington Parks and Recreation Commission since 2017. As a commissioner, she has advocated for access to public spaces across the county for residents of all backgrounds.
Shruti specializes in using public opinion research to inform environmental decision making as part of her work in charging infrastructure planning at Electrify America, a subsidiary of Volkswagen and one of the largest open DC Fast Charging networks in the United States.
She holds a Bachelors of Science in Policy and Management and a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and a Masters of Science in Energy Policy and Climate from Johns Hopkins University. Her master’s thesis examines the differences among generations and their attitudes surrounding climate change.
