"We know that in our region, stream valleys and estuaries provide refuge and connectivity for wildlife, give us clean water, and absorb and spread our floodwaters. Our forests are the core homes for many of our common wildlife, sequester significant amounts of carbon, and cool the urban core."

-Matt Gerhart, Conservation Director

LAND AND WATER

The threat of overdevelopment, climate change, and biodiversity loss is real, and we've noticed. As we continue to feel the effects, we fight them, strategically deciding where to focus our efforts, using helpful technology, partnerships, and a general understanding of the complexities of your region.

Over the last two decades, we have protected more than 8,000 acres of land and associated water and currently serve more than three million residents.

LAND & WATER SPOTLIGHT
