Andrew Giddings
Andrew Giddings is a Senior Counsel at the World Bank, where he leads on legal aspects of funds for global public goods in areas such as climate change, environment, health, and the blue economy. He is an expert in governance, international finance, and sustainable development, and has extensive experience in ethics and business conduct, having served as Senior Director and Head of Ethics and Business Conduct at CGIAR, a global research partnership for food, land, and water systems. He has also worked as Senior Counsel at the International Monetary Fund, as a US Navy JAG Corps Officer, and as an attorney and law clerk in New York and Alaska. He holds a JD from Harvard, an MA in Law and Diplomacy from Fletcher, a BA in International Relations from Tufts, and certificates in fields such as sustainability leadership, environmental law, and international politics.
As a resident of Alexandria/Arlandria, he cares deeply about incorporating nature into urban environments. He and his family enjoy exploring regional parks and recreational and cultural activities.
