On February 18 at 11 a.m. we are launching our first ever virtual NVCT Landowner Spotlight Webinar featuring Hidden Covey, a newly conserved and family-owned farm that specializes in sustainable agriculture.
This beautiful 75-acre farm in Lovettsville with significant environmental, agricultural, and historical value was safeguarded for all time in late 2020 when NVCT officially became the long-term stewards of the land through a conservation easement agreement.
This conservation success story was a nearly four-year collaborative effort between its owner, the Abraham and Wisch family, NVCT and Loudoun County with critical support from the National Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and the Virginia Land Conservation Foundation (VLCF).
In the webinar, you’ll meet Justin and Casey Wisch who will share their family's perspective on why permanently protecting their land and business was the best decision for their farm.
Loudoun County Supervisor Caleb Kershner and Diane Dunaway of the Natural Resources Conservation Service will also join us and speak to the determined partnership that made this all possible and why it is vital to protect properties like Hidden Covey Farm in our communities.
